Job Summary:
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance on aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, hydraulic, engines, avionics, armament, gear boxes, rotor systems, and other related components. The successful candidate will have a strong background in aircraft maintenance and repair, with experience working on rotary aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and rebuild all aircraft systems, including aircraft structure system, engine/gearbox/rotor system, and avionic systems.
- Inspect and test engines for cracked blades and oil leaks, and inspect turbine engines and components for cracks, corrosion, foreign object damage, burned areas, distortions, security, warping, wear, and missing segments.
- Replace or repair worn or damaged components, such as generators, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes.
- Adjust, repair, and replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.
- Perform preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, and miscellaneous duties to include servicing aircraft, including flushing gearbox, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, checking brakes and corrosion prevention of aircraft.
- Coordinate and participate in the jacking and towing of aircraft, and enter maintenance records description of all work performed, including safety of flight items.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years actual and recent O-level H-60S/R/F/H Aircraft Maintenance experience or equivalent rotary aircraft experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required qualifications, including Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) and Quality Assurance Representative Qualification (QAR).
- Ability to read and write and interpret technical data and special operating instructions.
- Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, and be proficient using computer programs Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and NALCOMIS/OOMA.
- Good verbal and written skills and leadership ability.
- Prior experience with U.S. Naval repair maintenance operations on military aircraft highly preferred.
- Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government Common Access Card (CAC) and Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) for temporary use only.
- Required to possess and maintain a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 Background Investigation (Non-Critical Sensitive/IT-II), some positions may require secret clearance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
- Must have a valid and maintain a current state driver's license.
- Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and pass any medical examination requirements.
- Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

- MH60-R Experience.
