Natilus Inc. is in search of a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician with A & P certification, eager to transition from routine maintenance to an innovative experimental prototyping setting.
Natilus is working on a groundbreaking 19,000 lbs unmanned aerial vehicle, driven by twin turbo prop engines, designed specifically for cargo transport.
This aircraft will be the first of its kind to enter production.This role is based at a municipal airport. Eligible candidates may include US Citizens or Permanent Residents.
The chosen candidate will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
• Disassembling and reassembling propulsion systems, avionics, aircraft structures, mechanical systems, and other fluid or electrical systems from existing aircraft.
• Conducting basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Repairing, replacing, and reconstructing aircraft structures, including tasks involving aircraft sheet metal and composite materials.
• Performing scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance on aircraft.
Minimum Qualifications:
• A & P License is required.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience as an A&P mechanic, with recent exposure to turboprop aircraft.
• Familiarity with basic maintenance of fixed-wing aircraft.
• Ability to locate and adhere to maintenance manuals and component specifications.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience on Beech 1900 or King Air aircraft.
• Proficiency in fabricating a diverse range of aircraft metallic structures, including formed sheet metal, riveted assemblies, and CNC machining on mills and lathes.
• Experience in composite fabrication, including fiberglass, carbon fiber, and sandwich structures, utilizing vacuum bagging and/or oven/autoclave techniques.• Welding skills in MIG, TIG, Stick, and Oxy-Acetylene on steel and aluminum structures.
