Client Relations Advocate

RATE OF PAY: $ per hour, non-exempt

LOCATION: On-site position.
ABOUT DIGITAL NEST: Digital NEST is a workforce development center dedicated to empowering youth from working-class and farmworker backgrounds by equipping them with essential technical and professional skills. We are in a phase of growth, expanding our reach across various communities in Northern California.
ROLE SUMMARY: The Community Engagement Specialist will collaborate closely with the leadership team to foster a positive membership experience and meet program and marketing goals. This role is pivotal in creating an inviting atmosphere for all members and ensuring seamless digital check-ins upon arrival.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Member Engagement (40%):
- Addressing inquiries from members.
- Welcoming members and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Encouraging member participation in activities and events through verbal and electronic communication.
- Assisting with social media management and communications.
- Conducting tours for prospective members as needed.
- Finalizing membership processes and maintaining accurate records.
- Engaging in self-development to enhance member engagement and customer service skills.
Operational Support (35%):
- Assisting the Center Manager with room setups for events.
- Executing facility opening and closing tasks.
- Supporting program staff with event preparations.
- Managing the center's scheduling and reservations.
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
- Monitoring facility usage by members.
- Reporting any issues to appropriate staff promptly.
- Assisting with procurement of supplies.
Reception Duties (25%):
- Handling phone inquiries and performing clerical tasks.
- Utilizing task management tools for tracking responsibilities.
- Participating in required meetings.
- Updating program materials for member access.
- Ensuring accurate member check-in and check-out.
- Contributing to attendance tracking and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Applications, and CRM platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience working with young adults.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Commitment to the mission of Digital NEST and its core values.
- Awareness and sensitivity to cultural and social issues.
- Ability to support diverse communities and individuals.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
- Physical capability to perform administrative tasks and lift up to 35 pounds.
