Overview:
This role involves collecting data from various sources, evaluating and synthesizing the information to draw insights and make informed decisions. The individual will leverage policies, established knowledge bases, and available tools to formulate recommendations.

The employee must comprehend client requirements, apply standard information systems methodologies, and gather data from multiple sources when crafting solutions for business needs within defined project scopes.

This position is primarily self-directed, operating within a general framework set by management for the analysis, design, testing, and implementation of business, technical, or clinical systems.

The employee may need to access information deemed "confidential and protected" by the organization to facilitate the implementation and maintenance of systems.

Compliance with all relevant policies and procedures regarding the use, disclosure, and security of this information, as well as policies related to the security of the organization's information systems, is mandatory.


Responsibilities:

Analysis and Design:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of client business processes and system requirements. Accurately document and validate with the client current business processes and/or system functionalities for a specific department. Understand how the system contributes to departmental workflow.

Design – Formulate effective solutions that address client needs. Create and document innovative and practical solutions that resolve business challenges while minimizing impact on clients. Facilitate design sessions with clients and other stakeholders. Ensure solutions are user-friendly and meet client expectations without adversely affecting other departments involved.

Technical Skills:
Employ technical skills necessary to execute assignments efficiently. Apply software development and/or customization principles and standards as outlined in current information systems documentation repositories. Demonstrate core competencies for each technical area and/or tools supported. Understand the technical architecture of the supported system(s). Conduct technical review presentations to groups and clearly document system specifications.

Project/Task Management:
Plan, execute, and monitor projects and/or tasks in accordance with information systems standards and management expectations. Utilize basic project management concepts and established procedures for each supported department. Build, monitor, and adjust project plans with assistance. Recognize impacts within the supported department and information systems and take appropriate action. Ensure work results in timely milestones and quality deliverables.

Plan, execute, and document system and process test scenarios to meet project requirements and specifications such as billing, interfaces, systems integration, etc.

Address testing discrepancies and performance issues prior to implementation. Assemble and coordinate appropriate resources to ensure stakeholder participation and acceptance of outcomes. Manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Maintenance and Support:
Ensure systems are maintained with minimal adverse impact on clients and information systems. Provide 24 x 7 on-call and support coverage with assistance in resolving issues. Fully support assigned applications. Peer review of support is expected to be timely and accurate. Maintain regular client interaction for priority setting and to review progress on assigned items. Plan for updates to system(s). Manage information systems downtime processes and communication for assigned systems. Provide system support documentation for future issue resolution.

General Skills:
Exhibit foundational skills necessary for professional growth and interaction with peers and clients. Strong research (self-study) skills. Demonstrate logical reasoning and sound judgment. Compose written materials and verbal communications clearly and concisely, appropriate for the intended audience. Manage tasks and responsibilities punctually with minimal supervision. Confirm that assignments are clearly understood and interpreted. Deliver to expectations. Take initiative and responsibility to achieve assigned objectives. Proactively enhance personal expertise and value.

Qualifications:


Education: An Associate's Degree (AA or AS) from an accredited college/university in computer science or a related field plus one (1) year of relevant work experience is required; however, an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

A Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field may substitute for experience. Relevant work experience includes healthcare experience, project management, systems analysis/design, programming/coding, and system implementation coordination.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

Familiarity with and experience using software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases). Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.


A valid driver's license and the ability to travel between locations to support computer systems as required.
