Overview:
This role involves collecting data from various sources, evaluating and synthesizing the information to draw insights and make informed decisions. The individual will leverage policies, established knowledge bases, and available tools to assist in crafting recommendations.

The employee must comprehend customer requirements, apply standard information systems methodologies, and gather data from multiple sources when designing solutions for business needs in projects with a defined scope.

This position is primarily self-directed, operating within a general framework set by management for the analysis, design, testing, and implementation of business, technical, or clinical systems.

The employee may need to access information deemed "confidential and protected" by the organization to facilitate the implementation and maintenance of systems.

The employee must adhere to all relevant policies and procedures regarding the use, disclosure, and security of this information and policies related to the security of the organization's information systems.


This position plays a vital role as an administrator overseeing the daily operations of the SumTotal Systems learning management system (LMS) (branded as My Training).

The employee will collaborate with a team and serve as a point of contact for this centralized learning management system at UF Health.

The role focuses on ensuring that system functionality and integrations foster a seamless learning environment.

This employee will coordinate with training partners and departments to incorporate training into the LMS that aligns with UF Health's objectives.

The individual in this position will support departments across all UF Health locations, as well as UF Health Educational Technologies and any other groups providing training to UF Health personnel.

This support will include managing the service request queue, interfacing with vendors and customers throughout UF Health, collaborating with main campus and other IT teams on various projects, and working closely with training providers who deliver education to UF Health employees.


Responsibilities:

Analysis and Design:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer business processes and system requirements. Accurately document and validate with the customer current business processes and/or system functionality for a single department. Understand how the system contributes to departmental workflow.

Design – Create effective solutions that address customer needs. Design and document innovative and practical solutions that resolve business challenges while minimizing impact to customers. Assist in design sessions with customers and other stakeholders. Ensure solutions are user-friendly and meet customer expectations without affecting others outside the involved department.

Technical Skills:
Apply the necessary technical skills to perform assignments effectively. Utilize software development and/or customization principles and standards as outlined in current IS documentation repositories. Demonstrate core competencies for each technical area and/or tools supported. Understand the technical architecture of the supported system(s). Conduct technical review presentations to groups and clearly document system specifications.

Project/Task Management:
Plan, execute, and monitor projects and/or tasks according to IS standards and management expectations. Apply basic project management concepts and established procedures for each supported department. Build, monitor, and adjust project plans with assistance. Recognize impacts within the supported department and IS and take appropriate action. Ensure work results in milestones being met on time with quality deliverables.

Plan, execute, and document system and process test scenarios to meet project requirements and specifications such as billing, interfaces, systems integration, etc.

Resolve testing discrepancies and performance issues prior to implementation. Assemble and coordinate appropriate resources to ensure stakeholder participation and acceptance of outcomes. Manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Maintenance and Support:
Maintain systems with minimal adverse impact to customers and IS. Provide 24 x 7 on-call and support coverage with assistance in resolving issues. Fully support assigned applications. Peer review of support is considered timely and accurate. Maintain regular customer interaction for priority setting and to review progress on assigned items. Plan for updates to system(s). Manage IS downtime processes and communication for assigned systems. Provide system support documentation for future issue resolution.

General Skills:

Demonstrate logical thinking and sound judgment. Compose written materials and verbal expressions clearly and concisely, appropriate for the intended audience. Manage tasks and responsibilities on time with minimal supervision. Confirm that assignments are clearly understood and interpreted. Deliver to expectations. Take initiative and responsibility to achieve assigned goals. Proactively enhance personal expertise and value.


Qualifications:


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with one year of relevant work experience. Relevant work experience includes skills such as project management, programming/coding, and IT system implementation coordination.

Requires a working knowledge of the information technology field, which can be immediately applied to the UF Health environment with minimal orientation and training.

Applicants within six months of meeting the minimum education/experience requirement may be considered for trainee status.

Qualifications:

Individuals must possess strong technical skills and effective communication abilities. Capability to think critically and solve problems. A strong commitment to customer service. Ability to communicate effectively with multiple individuals during high-volume periods. Must be able to work independently and effectively collaborate within a team.

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Must have knowledge of and experience using software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases). Must demonstrate strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.


A valid Florida Driver's license and the ability to drive between campuses in order to support computer systems located at various affiliated locations as required.
