The Legal Department at CLevelCrossing is dedicated to supporting the organization's lodging and hospitality operations by providing expert legal counsel to internal stakeholders. The Senior Vice President of Legal Technology and eDiscovery plays a pivotal role in this department, tasked with:
- Transforming Technology: Spearheading the modernization of the Legal Department's technological framework to enhance the delivery of legal services.
- Collaborative Leadership: Working closely with attorneys, senior legal leadership, and IT executives to develop and implement effective legal technology strategies and solutions.
- Oversight of eDiscovery: Managing the Senior Director of eDiscovery and Records Management to drive technology initiatives and oversee records management efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Vice President will lead a team of IT professionals, ensuring that technology projects are strategically aligned, budget-conscious, and meet the expectations of stakeholders. This role includes:
- Strategic Oversight: Providing direction for the legal technology function, focusing on identifying and assessing technology and AI solutions that benefit the Legal Department.
- Operational Investments: Directing investments in legal technology systems in collaboration with business and IT leaders, while identifying and mitigating risks.
- Process Automation: Leading initiatives to automate processes within the Legal Department, including change management and communication strategies.
- Global Deployment: Ensuring seamless global functionality of legal technology tools and managing all legal technology acquisitions.
- Technical Support: Overseeing a team that provides technical support for hardware and software used by the Legal Department.
- Performance Metrics: Reporting on the progress of legal IT projects, managing budgets, and developing metrics for continuous improvement.
- Partnership Development: Acting as the primary liaison with corporate IT, security, and compliance to ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's Degree or Project Management Professional Certification is advantageous.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in information technology, with a focus on legal technology and strategic leadership.
- Strong understanding of network environments and experience in implementing legal technologies to meet business objectives.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a large team, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the organization.
