Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Transition Team Staff collaborates with the Operations and Events Teams to deliver assistance before, during, and after various gatherings at Hall of Fame Village, a subsidiary of Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company.

This role is crucial for the setup, dismantling, and execution of numerous scheduled activities, which may include weddings, sporting events, stadium tours, concerts, meetings, seasonal festivities, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to visitors, clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure event execution aligns with client expectations.
  • Review event sheets to confirm proper arrangement of tables, chairs, risers, and other necessary equipment.
  • Assist in moving furniture and equipment for event setup and teardown.
  • Adapt to various roles during events, including ushering, security, parking, and guest services.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members and departments to ensure smooth operations across the venue.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Employment Type: Part-Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

Qualifications:

  • Experience in event management, operations, or hospitality is preferred.
  • A friendly and positive demeanor is essential, as this role involves frequent public interaction.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be a dependable team player, contributing to both the department and the broader organization.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds regularly.
  • Able to work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Must navigate uneven terrain and construction zones safely.
  • Ability to identify and respond to hazardous situations.
  • Must engage with guests warmly, making eye contact and offering a friendly greeting.
  • Ability to sit, stand, squat, and walk for extended periods as necessary.
  • Must possess hearing, vision, and speech capabilities.
  • Ability to follow instructions and retain information effectively.
  • Manual dexterity is required to perform all job functions.
