Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Senior Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting daily operations and overseeing staff for special events at Hall of Fame Village, a division of Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver exceptional service to visitors, clients, vendors, and team members.
  2. Collaborate with department leaders to develop a seasonal staffing strategy for major events across all Hall of Fame Village venues.
  3. Assist the Guest Experience Director in managing event staff as needed throughout the season.
  4. Train, supervise, and appropriately staff seasonal event personnel.
  5. Act as the primary contact for staff and vendors during significant events, ensuring smooth execution.
  6. Oversee formal disciplinary actions for supervised staff in partnership with Human Resources.
  7. Maintain and manage staff schedules, assignments, and attendance records.
  8. Review and approve timekeeping entries, making necessary adjustments.
  9. Respond promptly to communications via calls, texts, and emails.
  10. Enforce uniform standards and protocols.
  11. Coordinate parking logistics for large events, ensuring cash handling procedures are followed.
  12. Create purchase orders for departmental needs.
  13. Process invoices in accordance with financial protocols, ensuring timely approvals from department heads.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Salary and Employment Status: Exempt Position

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in event management, marketing, or operations.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable team player with the ability to work independently while maintaining high performance standards.
  • Highly organized with the capability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in English comprehension and communication.
  • Valid driver's license as per agency standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
  • Capable of working in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to navigate uneven terrain and construction zones safely.
  • Ability to identify and respond to hazardous situations.
  • Capacity to sit, stand, squat, and walk for extended periods as required.
