Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Senior Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting daily operations and overseeing staff for special events at Hall of Fame Village, a division of Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver exceptional service to all visitors, clients, vendors, and team members.
  2. Collaborate with department leaders to develop a comprehensive staffing strategy for large-scale events across all HOFV properties.
  3. Assist the Guest Experience Director in recruiting and managing seasonal event personnel.
  4. Supervise and train seasonal staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for events.
  5. Act as the primary on-site liaison for staff and vendors during major events.
  6. Manage disciplinary actions for supervised staff in coordination with Human Resources.
  7. Develop and maintain work schedules, assignments, and attendance records.
  8. Review and approve timekeeping entries, making necessary adjustments.
  9. Respond promptly to communications via calls, texts, and emails.
  10. Ensure adherence to uniform standards.
  11. Oversee parking logistics for large events, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  12. Create purchase orders for operational needs.
  13. Process invoices in accordance with finance protocols, ensuring timely approvals from department heads.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation and Employment Status: This is an exempt position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in event management, marketing, or operations is necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are required.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is expected.
  • Must be a dependable team player, contributing positively to the organization.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high performance standards.
  • Highly organized with the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
