Exciting Opportunity as an Event Planning Specialist at Rise Against Hunger

Competitive starting pay: $25.00 per hour

This is a part-time hourly role with flexible hours.

As an Event Planning Specialist, you will be instrumental in facilitating our meal packing events, ensuring they are organized and enjoyable for both hosts and volunteers. Your responsibilities will include transporting equipment and materials to and from events using a box truck, with no CDL license required. You will represent Rise Against Hunger, interact with hosting organizations, and motivate volunteers to support our mission of eliminating hunger through impactful events.

  • Proficient in delivering presentations and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Possess outstanding interpersonal skills with a passion for connecting with volunteers
  • Exhibit sound judgment in decision-making processes
  • Capable of working independently and taking initiative
  • Skilled in utilizing social media for event promotion and communication
  • Dedicated to making a positive impact and advancing Rise Against Hunger's global mission
  • Comfortable collaborating with a variety of faith-based organizations

Key Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement: 21 years old
  • Proficient in Google/Microsoft Office suite and cloud-based applications
  • Maintains a clean driving record and possesses a valid driver's license for box truck operation
  • Able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Resourceful and adaptable to different work environments
  • Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus
