Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Manager - Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Quality Ironworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards, implementing safety policies and procedures, and providing safety leadership to improve overall safety performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Safety Audits and Gap Analysis

Perform thorough safety audits to identify areas of improvement and conduct gap analysis to correctly identify the company's safety needs.

Develop and Implement Safety Policies and Procedures

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures that eliminate non-compliance concerns identified in the gap analysis.

Monitor and Enforce Safety Standards

Perform field visits to monitor and enforce safety standards, assess and monitor safe practices, and assist in fostering a safety culture.

Provide Safety Training and Coaching

Coach field supervision and crews on safe practices, develop job-specific safety plans, and assist foremen/superintendents in developing job hazard analyses.

Manage Safety Records and Reporting

Ensure documentation and execution of safety policies, program reporting, execution of JHA, toolbox talks, daily safety meetings, and maintain records of safety statistics and injury and illness records.

Investigate Incidents and Conduct Root Cause Analysis

Conduct incident investigations, ensure corrective actions/lessons learned are identified and completed, and report safety trends to management.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 Years of Construction Safety Experience
  • Excellent Communication, Organizational, Decision-Making, and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA Regulations
  • Ability to Work Effectively with Construction Groups, Management, Owners, Trades, Vendors, and Subs
  • Ability to Travel to Various Job Sites
  • Ability to Partner with Remote Teams Successfully, Effectively, and Cohesively
Preferred Qualifications
  • CSHO Certification
  • OSHA Construction Outreach Certification
  • Spanish Speaking
