Job Overview

The InProduction Safety Department is dedicated to establishing and enforcing safety protocols that prioritize the health, safety, and welfare of our workforce, clients, and visitors. The Safety Operations Manager will oversee all job sites within their designated area. This role also involves ensuring that key construction sites across the United States are supported by Regional Safety Specialists. Frequent travel throughout the country to InProduction's active construction sites outside of the assigned territory is expected, with overnight travel constituting up to 85% of the role. Most job sites are outdoors, typically located at professional sports venues, golf courses, racetracks, and concert locations. Reporting Structure: Reports to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Safety

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages 4 Regional Safety Specialists

Travel Logistics: All overnight and out-of-town travel expenses are covered and arranged by InProduction. Employees are not required to use per diem for these costs.

Position Details: Full-Time, Salaried Exempt.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership Duties:

  • Collaborate with the SVP of Human Resources & Safety to continuously train Regional Safety Specialists on company, State OSHA, and Federal OSHA 1926 safety standards.
  • Ensure all Regional Safety Specialists obtain necessary certifications for their roles, including Forklift Instructor Certification, Scissor Lift Instructor Certification, and Fall Protection Instructor Training.
  • Deploy Regional Safety Specialists to critical events within their territories.
  • Oversee the completion of daily tasks and routines assigned to Regional Safety Specialists by the SVP of Human Resources & Safety.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and courteous team of Regional Safety Specialists.
  • Create Toolbox Talks and ensure effective communication and documentation by the Regional Safety Specialists.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety programs and policies.
  • Provide regular updates to the SVP of Human Resources & Safety through daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Lead investigations into accidents, communicating findings and recommendations.
Position Responsibilities
  • Execute all duties outlined in the company's safety program.
  • Ensure compliance with evolving regulations and requirements related to environmental health and safety.
  • Conduct inspections of job sites within your region to meet safety objectives.
  • Guarantee compliance with Federal and State OSHA Standards at job sites and for employees.
  • Lead accident investigations and communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Coordinate safety training sessions for employees and supervisors as needed.
  • Develop and facilitate weekly toolbox talks on-site.
  • Participate in necessary seminars to stay updated on regulations and requirements.
  • Prepare reports and respond to inquiries and concerns.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response and accident prevention plans.
  • Identify safety hazards and take immediate action to mitigate them.
  • Conduct and maintain Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Implement corrective and preventative actions when discrepancies are identified.
Qualifications
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 85% of the time.
  • Ability to sit, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to work at heights exceeding 40 feet.
  • Able to climb ladders safely.
  • 20/20 vision with corrective lenses.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in a professional environment.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to travel by airplane.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to become knowledgeable in OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulatory requirements.
  • Strong commitment to ensuring the safety of others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety leadership.
  • Additional certifications in relevant safety processes.
  • Experience with extensive travel for work.
