Position Overview

The Loan Officer Assistant is a vital member of our team, responsible for supporting loan originators in assembling comprehensive loan applications for processing. This role focuses on the transition from lead generation to contract finalization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead to Contract Duties:
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring clear communication regarding licensed activities.
  • Assist loan originators in scheduling meetings with potential and existing clients.
  • Respond to new leads within 20 minutes, aiming for a 35% conversion rate from lead to appointment.
  • Coordinate and confirm appointments for loan originators while managing their schedules.
  • Provide administrative support by maintaining various client databases and sending pre-qualification links to new clients.
  • Help originators gather accurate and complete loan applications.
  • Evaluate clients' credit and financial situations to recommend suitable loan products.
  • Conduct credit checks on assigned loans.
  • Prepare initial fee worksheets based on AUS findings.
  • Manage web applications and update credit reports as necessary.
  • Request updates from pre-approved clients and referral sources on a weekly basis.
  • Stay informed about company-approved programs and software, implementing new systems for team efficiency.
  • Support marketing efforts by coordinating and distributing compliant advertising materials.
  • Oversee monthly email marketing campaigns directed at real estate professionals.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients and referral sources throughout the loan process, adhering to company policies on privacy and compliance.
  • Price loans according to company guidelines and relay relevant fees to the operations team.
  • Provide rate quotes and manage rate locks for clients.
  • Foster relationships with referral sources through prompt responses and exceptional service.
  • Send appreciation notes to referral sources and new clients.
  • Collect necessary documentation from clients for pre-approval processes.
  • Discuss product features and benefits with clients.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding underwriting and verification processes.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with a minimum of two years in mortgage lending or a related field.
  • Active MLO licensing is mandatory.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated urgency and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in data entry, PDF software, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math proficiency.
  • Ethical and aligned with company values.

Supervision:
  • This position does not have direct reports.
  • Requires limited independent judgment; standard job responsibilities are executed with minor variations, escalating complex issues as needed.

Work Environment:
Travel: 0%
Physical: Primarily sedentary work in an office setting.
Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of a computer keyboard and mouse.
Audio/Visual: Ability to interpret sounds and visual information accurately.
Environmental: Office environment with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
