Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Originator Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our mortgage banking department, you will play a critical role in the origination, processing, and closing of loans. Your exceptional organizational and communication skills will enable you to effectively manage loan pipelines, ensure timely closings, and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Loan Officers in the origination, processing, and closing of loans, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Manage loan pipelines, monitor status, and ensure commitment and closing dates are met.
  • Review files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance, and ensure all necessary documentation is provided to processing and underwriting departments.
  • Work closely with internal and external customers, including referral sources, to ensure seamless loan transactions.
  • Assist in marketing Loan Officers' services to new prospective referral partners, utilizing marketing materials and strategies.
  • Manage day-to-day transactions and relationships with customers and vendors, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  • Meet with potential borrowers to analyze financial situations and needs, gather necessary documentation, and provide guidance on loan options.
  • Provide necessary documentation to processing and underwriting departments to ensure timely loan closings.
  • Stay up-to-date on mortgage loan products, procedures, and underwriting guidelines, including FHA/VA/Conventional/Non-Conforming loans.
Requirements
  • Excellent multi-tasking, interpersonal, organizational, communication (written and oral), and telephone etiquette skills.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, motivated, energetic, and excellent time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take direction, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Updated and current knowledge of Fannie/Freddie guidelines and mortgage loan products.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Internet, with experience in mortgage banking or related sales/marketing experience preferred.
