Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Originator Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our mortgage banking department, you will play a critical role in the origination, processing, and closing of loans. Your exceptional organizational and communication skills will enable you to effectively manage loan pipelines, ensure timely closings, and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loan Origination and Processing
    • Work closely with Loan Officers to originate, process, and close loans
    • Manage loan pipelines to ensure timely closings and meet customer commitments
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
    • Communicate effectively with customers, Loan Officers, and other stakeholders
  • Loan File Management
    • Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
    • Ensure accurate and efficient processing through closing
  • Marketing and Business Development
    • Assist in marketing Loan Officers' services to new referral partners
    • Utilize marketing materials to promote Loan Officers' services
  • Day-to-Day Transactions and Relationships
    • Manage day-to-day transactions and relationships with customers and vendors
    • Meet with potential borrowers to analyze financial situations and needs
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of mortgage banking experience or related experience in sales/marketing
    • Encompass experience preferred
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent multi-tasking, interpersonal, organizational, communication, and telephone etiquette skills
    • Self-starter with excellent time-management skills
    • Ability to work independently and take direction
    • Updated and current knowledge of Fannie/Freddie guidelines
    • Working knowledge of computers, including MS Word, Excel, and Internet
