Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative is a vital member of our team at Mercy Medical Center, responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and financial data collection. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and verify patient demographic and financial information
  • Process patient registration and insurance verification
  • Manage patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of customer service experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Meditech and Epic systems (if applicable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Working Conditions
