Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience at Mercy Medical Center. This position is responsible for collecting and processing patient registration and financial information, as well as providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
  • Process patient registration and financial transactions
  • Provide accurate and timely information to patients and healthcare providers
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of customer service experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Meditech or Epic systems
  • Knowledge of performance management and learning platforms
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute
