Job Summary:
The Patient Access Representative plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient experience at Mercy Medical Center. This position is responsible for collecting and processing patient registration and financial data, as well as providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Process patient registration and financial data
- Provide accurate and timely information to patients and staff
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of customer service experience preferred
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
- Work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- May be required to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
