Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Patient Access Coordinator to join our team at Medasource. As a key member of our patient access services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to patients and physicians, ensuring seamless coordination of medical services and appointments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality customer service to patients and physicians, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate complex appointment scheduling, linking consults, procedures, and ancillary services required for specialty and multiple sub-specialties.
  • Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance pre-registration information in multiple scheduling systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing medical and insurance terminology, protocols, and regulations to provide accurate and informed support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote efficient and effective patient access services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a medical office, hospital, or similar customer service environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, professional telephone manner, interviewing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse people and deal effectively with angry or upset customers.
  • Proficiency in multi-line phone and ACD systems, copiers, fax machines, calculators, and other technology applications.
