Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist III to join our team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. As a key member of our access services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and physicians, while ensuring seamless coordination of appointments and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality customer service to patients and physicians via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Coordinate complex appointment scheduling, linking consults, procedures, and ancillary services for specialty and multiple sub-specialties.
  • Maintain patient demographic and insurance pre-registration information in multiple scheduling systems.
  • Assist with training staff and serve as a resource for staff related to complex situations.
  • Receive inbound contacts from patients and physicians, and provide information on physicians, directions to locations, and educational materials.
  • Interview callers to obtain a full understanding of their requests and provide solutions.
  • Promote teamwork and call center success, ensuring high-quality customer service on every interaction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years related medical office, hospital, medical call center, or similar customer service environment experience.
  • Comparable level of administrative experience in the military.
