Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pre-Operative Registered Nurse to join our team at Surgery Partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth pre-operative experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Develop Patient Care Plans: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their individual needs and develop personalized care plans to ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Coordinate Pre-Operative Care: Coordinate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all necessary pre-operative tests and procedures are completed in a timely manner.
  • Administer Medications and Treatments: Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Monitor and Report Patient Status: Continuously monitor patients' physical and mental status and report any changes or concerns to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure Compliance with Facility Policies: Ensure that all pre-operative care is provided in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse License and current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of healthcare products, stock rotation procedures, storage systems, inventory supplements, preference card management, and credit. Hands-on, self-starter with the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and possess superior organization and communication skills.
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and handle all supplies.
