Position Overview:

We are a distinguished Surgical Center affiliated with United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI), seeking a proficient Surgical Scrub Technician to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate and fulfill the requirements of the surgical team.
  • Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
  • Ensure the sterility of instruments and supplies during preparation.
  • Assist in preserving a clean and sterile atmosphere.
  • Participate in the counting of sponges, needles, and instruments.
  • Support the management of physician preference cards and specimen handling.
  • Contribute to the cleaning and reprocessing of instrument sets.
  • Engage effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure proper care of equipment.
  • Act as a resource for the healthcare team.
  • Communicate respectfully with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Uphold confidentiality for both patients and staff.

Required Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Scrub Technician Program is mandatory. Certification is required. A minimum of two years' experience across various specialties or equivalent experience is preferred.

Reasoning Skills: Ability to follow detailed instructions and manage standardized situations effectively.

Additional Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology related to surgical procedures and anatomy is essential.
