United Surgical Partners International Inc (USPI) is seeking a dedicated Surgical Scrub Technician:

  • No on-call shifts required

Position Summary:

  • Proactively addresses the requirements of the surgical team.
  • Maintains a sterile environment throughout surgical operations.
  • Ensures the sterility of instruments and supplies during preparation.
  • Assists in sustaining a sterile workspace.
  • Participates in the counting of sponges, needles, and instruments.
  • Supports the management of physician preference cards and specimen processing.
  • Contributes to the cleaning and reprocessing of instrument sets.
  • Engages effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Adheres to safety protocols and ensures proper care of equipment.
  • Acts as a resource for the healthcare team.
  • Communicates respectfully with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Upholds confidentiality for both patients and staff.

Essential Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED; completion of a Scrub Technician Program is mandatory. Certification is required. A minimum of two years' experience across various specialties or equivalent experience is preferred.

Analytical Skills: Ability to follow detailed instructions and manage standardized situations effectively.

Additional Skills: Knowledge of medical terminology related to surgical procedures and anatomy is essential.
