About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our team in Hampton Roads, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization and experience working with environmental and geologic data visualization software, including Earth Volumetric Studio (EVS) or Leapfrog.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mid- to senior level geologic and hydrogeologic technical or field support for environmental investigation and remediation projects
  • Plan and oversee/perform subsurface investigations and remediation projects, and present/document findings in project reports using text, figures, graphs, etc.
  • Maintain strong skills/capabilities regarding technical areas, especially in the areas of general hydrogeology and groundwater characterization/remediation
  • Provide guidance to and mentor junior staff in technical areas (including but not limited to the fields of general geology, hydrogeology, and groundwater characterization/remediation) to build overall technical capabilities of Tetra Tech staff
  • Assume lead technical role for projects and/or programs
  • Assume supporting roles in proposals and project management tasks based on capabilities and experience
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science or Engineering is required
  • Minimum 10+ years' experience with increasing responsibility in the environmental consulting market required
  • Professional license or the ability to obtain professional licensure (e.g., PG, P.E.) is preferred
  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour refresher training are required
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills are required
  • Proficiency in delivering technical and business presentations is a plus
