Key Responsibilities- Assist in supporting our well-established contracts with the Virginia Department of Transportation.
- Scope and direct subsurface investigations, evaluate environmental risk, and prepare remedial action plans and recommendations.
- Execute and manage fieldwork, ensure quality assurance on reports, and interface with clients and regulators.
- Oversee the work of others and manage small and complex projects of various types.
- Prepare project proposals and budgets, including complex proposals in response to publicly solicited requests for proposals.
- Lead business development initiatives within the operating group(s).
- Serve as a technical resource to junior staff in their area(s) of expertise.
- Review technical deliverables, invoices, and field reports prepared by junior staff.
- BS or MS in Geology or a discipline related to Environmental Science.
- 7+ years of Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related experience.
- Knowledge of and experience with Virginia Petroleum, Brownfields, and Voluntary Remediation Programs is highly desirable.
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred.
