Groundwater Resource Specialist

Key Responsibilities:


Engaging in a diverse range of groundwater resource initiatives, including the installation and assessment of high-capacity supply wells, evaluations for mining dewatering, comprehensive groundwater resource evaluations, analysis of stormwater basin mounding, and construction dewatering assessments, among other tasks.

This role will be conducted under the guidance of experienced hydrogeologists, providing valuable mentorship opportunities across various hydrogeological functions and applications.

Contributing to all facets of project execution, which encompasses marketing efforts, proposal development, project oversight, field operations, data interpretation, numerical modeling, cartographic preparation, and technical documentation.

Collaborating with governmental, municipal, industrial, and commercial stakeholders.


Executing field evaluation tasks that include groundwater sampling, aquifer testing, well logging, oversight of subcontractors, surface geophysics, and surface water monitoring.


Performing office-based responsibilities that involve data analysis, coordination with clients and subcontractors, proposal drafting, support with numerical groundwater models, map creation, and technical reporting.

Working across various hydrogeological settings, such as coastal plains, crystalline bedrock, and karst aquifer systems.

Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.

This position demands independent management of all phases of intricate environmental projects.

Project Leaders are expected to develop project proposals and budgets, compose technical reports, maintain project financials, handle invoicing, review daily field reports submitted by field personnel, conduct peer reviews of deliverables prepared by fellow Project Leaders, engage in ongoing client communication, build a client database, and participate regularly in industry marketing events.

You will be expected to demonstrate the ability to mentor and guide junior staff on various environmental projects and assist Senior Staff as required, including undertaking fieldwork as necessary.

Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience.

A Master's degree in Hydrogeology or related disciplines such as Geology or Environmental Engineering is preferred.

Preferred qualifications include a Licensed Professional Geologist.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, GIS, AQTESOLV, and MODFLOW is essential.

Strong writing and communication skills along with a commitment to ongoing professional development are required.
