AACOM is in search of a dedicated and experienced Government Relations Manager who is enthusiastic about leveraging their advocacy and policy knowledge to promote osteopathic legislative and regulatory objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The Government Relations Manager will serve as a registered federal lobbyist, representing the Association and fostering relationships with key policymakers, federal agencies, and stakeholders to enhance support for AACOM's public policy goals. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and distributing legislative and regulatory updates to AACOM's members and the public.
  • Facilitating government relations initiatives and organizing events such as lobby days and briefings on Capitol Hill.
  • Engaging members in advocacy efforts and monitoring political trends affecting AACOM.
  • Creating content for government relations, including newsletters, social media posts, and public policy briefs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in an association environment with a focus on government relations or advocacy.
  • Strong knowledge of federal healthcare and education policies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to represent the Association effectively.
  • Strategic thinking capabilities to assess legislative risks and opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CQ Engage and Microsoft Teams is a plus.

Compensation
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 – $85,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
