Your Role

As an Insurance Risk Specialist, you will:
  • Engage in proactive business development by cultivating relationships with Independent Retail Agents and Carrier Underwriters to meet production targets.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with Specialty Carriers to secure competitive pricing and comprehensive coverage options.
  • Evaluate submissions and prioritize high-potential sales opportunities while adhering to Carrier guidelines to ensure a profitable portfolio.
  • Develop expertise in insurance products tailored to specific industries and business types.
  • Analyze submissions from Retail Agents to identify the most suitable Carrier, coverage, forms, and premiums.
  • Assess client risks and identify additional coverage opportunities that RPS could provide.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and market dynamics that influence underwriting standards, pricing, and premiums.
  • Communicate RPS' full spectrum of risk solutions to business partners as their needs evolve.
  • Lead and mentor a support team, ensuring high-quality work output.
  • Travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.

  • A commitment to responsiveness and dedication to meeting the needs of Retailers and their clients.
  • The ability to convey insurance and risk management knowledge in a manner that builds trust and credibility.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Possession of a Home state P&C license, or willingness to obtain one within the first 90 days of employment.
