Job Overview

As a Market Risk Oversight Specialist, you will play a pivotal role as a senior team member, offering technical knowledge, guidance, and training to bank examiners and industry stakeholders in various aspects of market risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Acting as a risk authority, responsible for the formulation, interpretation, and dissemination of policies and guidance related to market risk, focusing on industry practices, emerging challenges, and critical risk areas impacting the banking sector.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including other risk specialists and subject matter experts, to proactively monitor and mitigate emerging risks and trends within the banking landscape.
  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of treasury and market risk, including industry standards and evolving threats, by fostering relationships with a network of technical experts and regulatory authorities.
  • Identifying training and development needs for field examiners in conjunction with the training and performance development team.
  • Delivering classroom training sessions, briefings, and presentations at conferences, seminars, and district meetings, focusing on current market risks and industry practices.
  • Engaging with the banking community through participation in industry conferences and meetings, where you will present and train on relevant topics.
  • Preparing briefing documents, testimonies, and presentations for senior representatives who engage with Congressional committees and industry forums on market risk and bank supervision policies.
Requirements

This position mandates that the selected candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a comprehensive background investigation and enrollment in a continuous vetting program. This program will facilitate ongoing automated record checks throughout your tenure.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be enrolled in a notification service that alerts the organization of any criminal matters involving the individual in real-time.
