Risk Management Specialist

Description

  • Conduct in-depth country and project risk analysis to identify potential threats and opportunities
  • Undertake comprehensive economic analysis of projects to assess their viability and potential impact
  • Engage in the World Bank Group's country engagement process to develop strategic partnerships and collaborations
  • Assist in evaluating country and project risks in various regions to inform investment decisions

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and maximize returns
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize risk mitigation initiatives
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Provide expert advice on risk management best practices to stakeholders and clients

The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) is a member of the World Bank Group focused on promoting foreign direct investment in developing countries. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in analyzing risk, assessing project impact, and contributing to the agency's engagement strategies.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or Public Administration/Policy
  • Proven experience in international credit rating agencies or private sector
  • Strong analytical skills in macroeconomic and financial analysis
  • Experience with econometric and financial modeling techniques
  • Knowledge of global economic and political developments
  • Understanding of public finance and sovereign credit risk
  • Ability to assess country risk factors
  • Good interpersonal skills and language proficiency in English and French
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
