We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our team at the University of California. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient registration, check-in, and check-out services, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Schedule appointments for various Cancer Center areas, including Moores Multi-Specialty Clinics, Koman Outpatient Pavilion, and Hillcrest locations.
- Conduct insurance and authorization verification, update patient demographics, and collect co-payments.
- Manage cash drawers, expedites reports, and support daily office workflow.
- Provide Call Center Specialist coverage, including customer service, answering multi-line incoming calls, and completing online registration.
- Assist with Clinical Care Coordinator duties, including covering desk responsibilities and expediting new patient scheduling.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience working in a large healthcare organization.
- Prior scheduling experience and knowledge of appointment scheduling systems, preferably Epic.
- Proven knowledge of third-party payors, including federal, state, and private health plans.
- Demonstrated experience with insurance and authorizations.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Oncology experience and bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
- Outpatient experience and Epic-Cadence experience.
The successful candidate will be required to work various hours and locations based on business needs, including occasional overtime and holiday coverage.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
