Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a Front Desk Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling guest inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs, including confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys.
  • Handle guest payments, including processing room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in.
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed.
  • Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest.
  • Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy.
  • Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.
  • Cash guests' personal checks and traveler's checks.
  • Count bank at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • No related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.
  • License or Certification: None
