Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and seasoned Senior Sales Education Specialist to enhance our training initiatives. The successful candidate will be tasked with crafting, executing, and managing extensive training programs tailored for our sales personnel.

Reporting directly to the Sales Education Manager, this position is pivotal in providing our salesforce with the essential knowledge, resources, and strategies required to effectively introduce innovative technologies, maintain existing business, and thrive in a competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Fostering a Learning Environment:

  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of the cardiovascular industry, including clinical protocols, procedural insights, product applications, clinical evidence, and market trends.
  • Upholds a commitment to compliant, on-label, and audit-ready training while maintaining high ethical standards in the development of learning plans and documentation.
  • Simplifies complex concepts for diverse learner groups.
  • Cultivates a learning culture that motivates all team members to enhance and direct their own knowledge growth.

Curriculum and Content Creation:

  • Spearheads the strategic formulation of learning plans, determining the training methods and modalities while applying adult learning principles.
  • Creates training materials that focus on clinical, product, and sales aspects, ensuring a well-rounded approach to prepare sales professionals effectively.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts to produce high-quality training resources, including presentations, videos, e-learning modules, and job aids.
  • Designs interactive exercises and simulations to reinforce key concepts and improve learning outcomes.

Training Delivery:

  • Conducts engaging and interactive training sessions for sales representatives, managers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Provides comprehensive training on products, sales techniques, and strategies tailored to various audience levels.
  • Delivers extensive clinical training to ensure sales professionals can effectively communicate the clinical advantages of available medical devices to healthcare practitioners.

Assessment and Curriculum Development:

  • Performs thorough needs assessments to identify knowledge and skill gaps within the sales organization.
  • Develops detailed training curricula and learning pathways to address identified needs and promote career advancement.
  • Collaborates closely with management and sales leadership to align training efforts with business goals and sales objectives, maintaining a focus on both clinical support and sales capabilities.

Evaluation and Continuous Enhancement:

  • Implements evaluation metrics and assessments to gauge the effectiveness of training programs and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Analyzes training data and feedback to make informed decisions and refine training methodologies.
  • Remains updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in sales and clinical education, ensuring a balanced and contemporary approach to training initiatives.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, education, clinical or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in a learning and development role, ideally within the medical device or healthcare sector supporting a sales organization.
  • Familiarity with the cardiovascular and/or endovascular market is preferred.
  • Proven success in designing and executing effective sales education programs that yield measurable outcomes.
  • Strong grasp of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training evaluation techniques.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and facilitation skills with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
  • Strategic mindset with the capability to translate business objectives into actionable training strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, learning management systems (LMS), and sales enablement platforms (VR, simulation, coaching).
  • Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time as determined by management.
