Position Overview

The Springfield Lodging LLC is in search of enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. The primary role of the Front Desk Clerk is to ensure guest satisfaction by providing professional and friendly front desk assistance. This position also involves delivering efficient service to maximize room revenue.

We are looking for part-time front desk clerks to cover shifts from 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm on weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to provide courteous and professional guest service.
  • Strong time management skills and capability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills, multitasking ability, and keen attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive and professional demeanor when addressing guest inquiries.
  • Basic computer proficiency and math skills.
  • Prior customer service experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Perform job duties efficiently while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Greet guests and handle hotel registration and transactions promptly, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Stay informed about hotel services, accommodations, and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
  • Conduct all guest accounting tasks in accordance with established hotel procedures to maintain accuracy.
  • Follow credit and inventory control procedures to minimize revenue loss.
  • Utilize sales techniques to promote the property, enhancing occupancy and average rates.
  • Operate the telephone system professionally, adhering to brand standards.
  • Accurately process reservations via phone and in-person.
  • Monitor office equipment to ensure timely handling of documents.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the lobby area and assist with laundry duties as necessary.
  • Clear snow from the hotel entrance and walkways when required.
  • Act as the manager on duty in the absence of senior management.
  • Understand and implement hotel safety and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Keep supervisors informed of any significant issues or unusual occurrences.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
