Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a welcoming demeanor and ensure the front desk is always attended.
  • Check guests in and out, while accommodating special requests whenever feasible.
  • Assist with pre-registration and manage reservations as needed.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of room types, pricing, packages, and booking processes.
  • Communicate with housekeeping regarding late check-outs, early arrivals, and special requests.
  • Ensure the front desk area and lobby are kept clean and organized.
  • Document any guest complaints and report them to management.
  • Report any accidents or injuries to the front desk manager promptly.
  • Prepare registration materials and key packets for guests at check-in.
  • Provide assistance to guests with the utmost professionalism.
  • Organize and file room keys efficiently.
  • Develop proficiency in using office equipment, including computers and fax machines.
  • Manage safety deposit boxes according to established procedures.
  • Follow proper protocols for handling mail, packages, and messages.
  • Look for opportunities to exceed guest expectations and inform management of any issues that require attention.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Three to six months of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Effective Communication: Ability to convey information clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Basic Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with standard computer hardware and software.
  • Reading Comprehension: Ability to understand written information in work-related documents.
  • Clerical Knowledge: Understanding of administrative procedures and office systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to gather and assess information logically and systematically.
  • Training Knowledge: Familiarity with principles of curriculum design and instructional methods.
