The Registered Nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, comprehensive, and exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include performing telephone triage, administering infusions, coordinating care, and educating patients. About Our Outpatient Clinics

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics throughout Michigan, offering diverse care options to the communities we serve. With more than 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, our clinics provide opportunities for staff to explore various interests or specialize in specific areas.

Role Responsibilities

The RN is responsible for delivering nursing care through the assessment and prioritization of medical needs presented via telephone calls from patients, families, providers, and others. The RN ensures prompt responses to patients with high-risk conditions. Under the ANA scope of practice, the RN utilizes the nursing process framework to provide professional nursing care, incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients. The RN delivers quality care under the guidance of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures, and recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes. The RN collaborates with patients and families to incorporate their input and goals into the care plan and develops educational strategies for patients and families, documenting learning appropriately in health records.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days from AHA or ARC.

Work Schedule

Full-time position with a day shift, typically working 36 hours per week, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
