We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Cryo-EM Facility Operations Supervisor:

Position Summary:
  • Oversee the maintenance and operational integrity of the cryo-electron microscopy facility.
  • Prepare biological samples, operate advanced microscopy equipment, and analyze collected data.
  • Deliver training sessions on operational protocols and methodologies.
  • Maintain comprehensive scientific records.
  • Contribute to grant proposals and manage budgetary considerations.
  • Collaborate with the core facility director.
  • Compile and submit annual research performance reports.
  • Establish and adhere to facility standard operating procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Sample preparation and data acquisition.
  • Conduct maintenance and perform image processing tasks.
  • Work closely with the core director to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in structural biology or a related discipline.
  • Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.
  • Experience in a multicultural work environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Doctorate with significant experience in cryo-electron microscopy.
  • Proven publication record in cryo-EM research.
  • Familiarity with cryo-EM image processing software.
  • Prior managerial experience in a core facility setting.
