POSITION: Facility Operations Supervisor - Event Management Lead

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the director in overseeing, coordinating, and scheduling all facets of operations, which encompass engineering, building maintenance, technical services, event management, public safety, security, custodial services, and parking operations.
  • Facilitate operational activities in collaboration with other departments and event-related contractors.
  • Enforce facility regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and devise appropriate solutions. Investigate, analyze, and resolve operational challenges and customer complaints.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and timely communication of directives to various departments.
  • Ensure the operations department is equipped with essential information for optimal facility usage and staffing.
  • Guarantee facility readiness and seamless execution of events.
  • Supervise the upkeep of the physical premises and systems.
  • Maintain the Master MSDS log for the facility.
  • Act as the Manager on Duty as necessary.
Supervisory Duties
  • Oversee subordinate supervisors across departments such as Changeover, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Operations, Production, Engineering, Technical Services, Event Management, Public Safety, Security, and Parking. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; and addressing employee concerns in collaboration with Human Resources.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from a technical college with a focus on Management or Maintenance Engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a comparable facility.
  • Additional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.

  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; capable of interacting with all levels of staff, including management.

  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in addition to standard business hours.
