Front Desk Coordinator

Classification: Hourly/Nonexempt
Overview
This position is the first point of contact that sets the tone of the Catholic Center environment and demonstrates courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism for anyone who visits the Catholic Center; as well as providing additional support, when needed, for Offices within the Catholic Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greets all visitors to the Catholic Center and follows protocol when announcing guests to members of the Catholic Center Staff.
- Answers phones and transfers calls; takes messages when appropriate.
- Monitors cameras at the front desk in case of any issues noticed; notifies appropriate parties.
- Prepares internal, outgoing mail for drop off to post office.
- Sorts all incoming mail in appropriate mailboxes.
- Ensures that all outgoing mail, including packages, are prepared properly for pickup.
- Accepts any deliveries and notifies department of delivery on a timely basis.
- Maintains all supplies of the front desk, including but not limited to mailing materials, postage, etc.
- Supports any department in the Diocese with projects such as mass mailings, etc.
- Notifies appropriate senior staff regarding unusual incidents.
- Any other duty assigned by the Communications Director.
- Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 years of front office experience.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Presents professional appearance and always acts appropriately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using databases.
- Willingness to assist with supplemental work.
