About the Role

As a Patient Access Specialist with CommonSpirit Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient access to our healthcare services. This position represents our organization during initial phone contact, providing patients with appointments, information, and other operational support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the organization during initial phone contact, providing patients with appointments, information, and other operational support services.
  • Provide a high level of customer service in a manner consistent with our organization's mission, goals, and service standards.
  • Utilize scheduling parameters, insurance concepts, and patient registration software to efficiently schedule appointments and answer questions.
  • Handle emergent calls and provide solutions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Excel in a team-based environment with a positive attitude, being comfortable with ambiguity and flexibility.
Requirements
  • 6 months of office and/or call center, customer service, or healthcare experience.
  • Proven excellent customer service, communication, verbal, and written skills with an emphasis on organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem-solve and multi-task, keep confidences, and meet and exceed service components of this position.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Previous call center or healthcare or customer service experience preferred.
