We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Register and check-in patients, verify and update patient information, and collect co-payments.
- Answer telephones, schedule appointments, and remind patients of upcoming appointments.
- Coordinate and schedule services for patients and providers, maintaining provider schedules and communicating changes.
- Prepare charts with necessary paperwork, coordinate pre-authorizations, and manage filing and records.
- Provide patients with generic preoperative and postoperative information, and manage office supplies and durable medical equipment.
- 6 months of customer service or medical setting experience or Associate's degree.
- Professional demeanor with a positive, upbeat attitude.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrative and clinical staff, patients, and physicians.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
