About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Benefits and Compensation senior leader to develop, design, and implement competitive benefits and compensation programs. This role will provide strategic leadership and guidance on APL's approach and philosophy in crafting, measuring, and implementing benefits and compensation strategies.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide thought leadership to the Compensation Manager and senior leaders on annual compensation planning, new hire packages, classification structures, job architecture, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead cost-effective health, disability, and wellbeing plans while ensuring compliance and competitiveness within the market
  • Contribute to the Human Resources leadership team to influence the strategic direction and efforts of the department

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related discipline
  • 10 years of human resources experience with an emphasis in benefits planning, design, and administration
  • 5 years' experience leading a benefits function in a corporate setting, including experience with self-funded health care programs
  • Compensation experience in broad-based design and implementation of compensation systems, compensation administration, and the regulatory landscape for exempt and non-exempt employees
  • Excellent program management, leadership, persuasion, and change-management skills, including excellent written and verbal communications skills
