Strategic Strike Warfare Analyst

We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Strike Warfare Analyst to join our team at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). This is a challenging opportunity for someone with expertise in precision strike warfare and a passion for making critical contributions to the design, requirements, and evaluation of innovative strike weapons.
A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mission-level tools such as AFSIM, EADSIM, SUPPRESSOR, or JIMM, and be highly skilled in learning new technical topics. They will also be able to communicate complex ideas effectively in a collaborative environment and work closely with a team of scientists, engineers, and analysts.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace, Electrical, or other form of Engineering, and be proficient in a programming or scripting language such as MATLAB or Python. Additionally, they must be able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by their start date and meet the requirements for access to classified information.
In this role, you will develop and apply models and simulations to evaluate strike weapons and aircraft operating in denied environments, supporting DoD investment decisions. You will also engage in independent research projects that encourage creative solutions and reward independent initiative, and have the opportunity to present your work through briefings to both technical specialists and pivotal decision makers.

Salary InformationThe salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $330,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. We provide eligible staff with opportunities for bonuses, relocation benefits, locality allowance, and discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
