POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Manager plays a crucial role in fostering and sustaining relationships with our esteemed clients by addressing their insurance protection requirements. This position involves overseeing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and promoting client retention. The Account Manager serves as the primary liaison for their accounts, comprehending their needs and collaborating with the internal team to provide outstanding service. This role is integral to our dynamic, resourceful, and collaborative High-Performance Team (HPT) at First MainStreet Insurance, L.C.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and cultivate robust relationships with assigned accounts post-sale, acting as their trusted advisor and main point of contact regarding their insurance policies.
  • Engage in regular communication with accounts to proactively resolve concerns, collect feedback, and identify avenues for account expansion.
  • Oversee assigned accounts and ensure adherence to all deadlines.
  • Manage and relay information from clients to ensure we are effectively minimizing exposures.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance accounts, ensuring comprehensive risk mitigation through insurance coverages.
  • Monitor client satisfaction levels and implement proactive measures to maintain high retention rates.
  • Market new and renewal business, potentially in collaboration with a Risk Advisor or independently.
  • Maintain all account-related work within our agency management system to ensure data accuracy.
  • Seek and develop opportunities to enhance knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and competitors.
  • Utilize provided tools to efficiently manage an assigned book of business.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of client and carrier information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, appropriate to the position.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Demonstrated experience in account management, customer relationship management, or sales.
  • Proficient or capable of quickly learning Microsoft Office and other applications to optimize efficiency in a paperless environment.
  • Expectation to obtain necessary licensing within a specified timeframe.
  • Skilled in utilizing service management software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with insurance industry terminology and documentation.
  • Adept at collecting, analyzing, and interpreting insurance-related data.
