Key Responsibilities:

  • Address maintenance and service requests from residents and common areas, ensuring timely and quality repairs.
  • Uphold the aesthetic and cleanliness of the community, including grounds, amenities, and all shared spaces, ensuring they are free from debris and hazards.
  • Prepare apartments for new occupants as directed, performing tasks such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repairs, along with cleaning and painting duties.
  • Organize and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and stocked appropriately.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to employment.
  • Commit to embodying UDR Values in every action taken while performing essential job functions.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in maintenance within multi-family housing, hospitality, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in residential plumbing, electrical work, appliance repair, painting, and drywall.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and carpentry is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service background.
  • Comfortable using modern technology, including computers and smartphones.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to participate in on-call rotations are necessary.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • EPA Type II or Universal certification is a plus.
