Position Overview

Reports To: Varies by location

Key Responsibilities: Upkeep of credit union properties.

Core Duties:

  • Conduct inspections and upkeep of credit union properties. Generate periodic facility inspection and condition reports as necessary.
  • Perform advanced maintenance and repairs on credit union properties to ensure they meet member and management standards.
  • Ensure that assigned maintenance tasks are completed promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist with office and department relocations, renovations, reconfigurations, and special event support.
  • Plan, identify, and procure necessary resources to execute and report on assigned projects.
  • Travel to various regions to perform maintenance and lead project teams.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of building mechanical systems.
  • Carry out janitorial tasks as needed and oversee custodial and maintenance services.
  • Keep a minimal inventory of repair parts required for common maintenance tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: A minimum of five years in facilities maintenance or a similar role. Must possess a solid understanding of building systems, work independently, and effectively communicate with others. A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, pre-employment physical, and drug testing are required. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds is necessary.

Advancement: To qualify for Senior Maintenance Specialist (Category 12), candidates must have at least eighteen months in the Maintenance Specialist II position (Category 13) with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Relevant work experience and/or accelerated training completion may substitute for tenure, provided there is a proven ability to manage increased responsibilities. Promotions require management recommendation based on performance.

Compensation

Salary Range:

  • Facilities Maintenance Technician (Category 14): $41,484 - $60,567 annually
  • Maintenance Specialist II (Category 13): $44,803 - $66,309 annually
  • Senior Maintenance Specialist (Category 12): $48,387 - $73,549 annually

Starting salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, education, and applicable local or state wage requirements, and will fall within the specified range.

In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries typically range from the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
