Miers Insurance is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Account Manager to support the Miers Commercial Lines insurance team. This role is critical in the successful management of commercial client insurance programs.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a proficient understanding of commercial underwriting and coverages. They will also possess good time and desk management skills, as well as proficient computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare pre-renewal documentation for the Account Manager and producer
- Process new policies, renewals, endorsements, and audits
- Review Coverage Checklists & Endorsement/Audit reviews, facilitating corrections as necessary
- Create and issue Certificates of Insurance, Automobile ID Cards
- Complete billing tasks as assigned
- Handle Notice of Cancellations/Reinstatements in a timely manner
- Maintain agency management systems in an orderly, up-to-date manner
- Process change requests
- Process paperwork assigned by the Account Manager
- Perform all actions relating to the public, clients, and companies in a manner that will avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions
- Participate in seminars and other training for knowledge and skill development
Requirements:
- Valid Property & Casualty Insurance License
- High school diploma
- Proficient understanding of commercial underwriting and coverages
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good time and desk management skills
- Proficient computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office products
