Position Overview - Senior Vice President of Lending Operations

The Senior Vice President of Lending Operations plays a crucial role as a top-tier executive collaborating with the CEO, executive leadership, and the Board of Directors to shape the strategic direction of TTCU. This position is accountable for steering and overseeing the credit union's lending functions, ensuring that the lending program meets growth and profitability targets while upholding superior credit quality and regulatory adherence.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic oversight of lending operations, crafting and implementing TTCU's lending strategy in alignment with organizational objectives.
  2. Inspire and lead the lending team, cultivating a culture centered on excellence, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
  3. Analyze market dynamics and economic factors to proactively adjust lending operations in response to changes.
  4. Assess technological advancements and propose solutions to enhance operational efficiencies and member service.
  5. Manage risk and maintain credit quality within TTCU's lending framework.
  6. Identify and manage loan portfolio risks, emphasizing diversification strategies.
  7. Ensure robust credit analysis and risk management protocols are in place.
  8. Continuously monitor performance and implement corrective measures to mitigate potential losses.
  9. Develop data-driven initiatives to uphold high credit quality standards.
  10. Oversee the operational management of lending activities, ensuring effective loan processing, underwriting, and funding practices.
  11. Establish and enforce policies that promote sound lending practices and compliance with relevant regulations.
  12. Encourage a collaborative environment that fosters team development.
  13. Build and mentor a diverse, high-performing lending team dedicated to exceptional member service and achieving results.
  14. Focus on enhancing member satisfaction by consistently exceeding expectations.

  16. Manage the lending budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain NMLS License.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Experience:

  • 8 years of management experience in a financial institution.
  • 8 years of extensive knowledge in Mortgage Sales and Centralized Lending Programs.
  • 4 years of demonstrated management experience across various lending sectors.
  • 3 years of experience in business financial analysis and cash flow evaluation.
