Position Overview:


We are in search of a Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships within the Life Sciences sector, who will drive revenue growth and market success for VMS by broadening our business with existing pharmaceutical clients and establishing partnerships with new brands.

You will foster and nurture relationships with key decision-makers by showcasing the impact of our offerings on their operations and presenting innovative growth opportunities to facilitate expansion.

The ideal candidate will comprehend our clients' business needs, challenges, and gaps, translating these into appropriate VMS solutions to achieve growth in our current client portfolio through broader adoption of VMS services across the client's organization.

This individual should have a proven track record in expanding life science business relationships through engagement with senior stakeholders and executing enterprise-level cross-selling initiatives.

This role will collaborate with internal teams, including Executive, Client Solutions, Business Development, and Marketing. This position reports directly to the CEO and is remote, with an expectation of frequent travel for client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:


Develop a vision for expanding VMS's existing client business by staying informed about the latest developments in the client's portfolio and the current VMS program.

Identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities with clients, particularly with brands we are not currently collaborating with, while managing against revenue targets.

Establish relationships with key decision-makers essential for expanding client business.

Provide insights and solutions based on thorough analysis of client needs and challenges, grounded in expertise and thought leadership.

Employ an entrepreneurial, consultative, and relationship-focused sales approach.

Oversee the sales process from opportunity identification through to closure.

Required Qualifications:
10-15+ years of experience in business development or client services roles with sales responsibilities in the pharmaceutical sector.

A history of engaging and cultivating professional and personal relationships with senior-level stakeholders (VP level and above) in life science organizations.

Demonstrated success in managing the complete sales process for deals exceeding $1M.

Ability to value-sell, with an analytical mindset and a proven consultative sales approach.

Exceptional communication skills and presence (both written and verbal), capable of creating presentations with a cohesive and engaging narrative.

Knowledge of the commercial biopharmaceutical industry and patient services/market access specifically.

Strategic thinker with the ability to develop account-specific strategies to navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles.

Experience collaborating across internal teams to execute growth initiatives.

Results-oriented problem solver with a proactive approach and a willingness to engage hands-on.

A preference for working in a fast-paced environment, where adaptability and growth are embraced.

Anticipated Salary Range:
$140k - $175k base compensation plus targeted commission.

VMS anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $140K to $175k, depending on the successful candidate's qualifications, including education, experience, and competency for the role.

Some roles may include a car allowance and eligibility to earn targeted bonuses based on company or individual performance.
