InCommunity Overview

The Clinical Nurse Supervisor is accountable for executing nursing functions to care for and support individuals in alignment with the policies of InCommunity and the regulations set forth by the State of Georgia Nursing Licensing Bureau.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing operations at the Crisis Support Homes in designated counties.
  • Act as the primary supervisor for Lead LPNs, managing their performance and providing necessary training and disciplinary guidance.
  • Conduct weekly site visits to offer support and supervision to the Lead Nurse, ensuring timely visits following new admissions.
  • Facilitate quarterly staff meetings and participate in admissions and discharge planning sessions as required.
  • Review medication administration records (MARS) and nursing documentation for accuracy and compliance, providing necessary approvals.
  • Be available for on-call support during staffing emergencies, coordinating with agency staff to maintain adequate coverage.
  • Engage in psychiatry reviews, communicating with physicians regarding patient care and medication management.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives to identify and address areas needing enhancement.
  • Serve as a nursing consultant for the Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) to address community health needs.
  • Audit patient records to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Ensure timely completion of assessments for individuals receiving Crisis Respite services.
  • Deliver health education training to staff to enhance care quality.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Crisis Support Services to ensure efficient management of the homes in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Regularly consult with the Director of Nursing to address ongoing issues and improve service delivery.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
